History

Homeschooled in a McMansion makes for an isolated childhood. This was exacerbated by the fact that James' grandparents died before he really met them and both of his fathers aren't very close to their families. Goro, as his father and a professor, primarily handled James' education. Henry, his other father and a lawyer, was just as involved in his life. Despite that, his parents are very private and as such there were off-limits topics that left many of James' questions unanswered as a child. This included his birth parents, their extended family, religion, and his own body.

James' status as an only child was short-lived however, as his parents suddenly took in a young child, Yoishi. They were never close due to an incident that led to their parents keeping them separated. A few years later, James got another younger brother, Lucas, which was a less spontaneous adoption than the last. Lucas and Yoishi clicked instantly. James was much older now, so while he does love his little brothers he isnt close to them.

James grew up fast, almost too fast. When he came of age his parents suddenly lessened their hold and sent him to attend school at Windsor University. As a young man with sudden freedom and no limits, he did exactly what one would expect. Partied, got drunk, and slept around. Along with his parent's funds, everyone wanted to go to James' parties. Aisha, a girl that wasn't one to miss a party, of course attended. Her and James drunkenly hit it off in a frat house bathroom and a few months later Jivati was born. He went on to graduate and have custody of Jivati on weekends, James and Aisha have an off and on again relationship since. He does care about Aisha and his daughter, but for certain reasons he won't divulge he keeps his distance from them.
